The claim, originally circulated by the Times Algebra account on the platform X, was labeled as entirely false by government officials.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the chief adviser’s press wing issued a statement on its verified Facebook account, CA Press Wing Facts, dismissing the allegations. The statement emphasized that the Bangladesh government does not practice discrimination against any citizen based on religious affiliations. Furthermore, it clarified that the supposed quote from the Home Affairs adviser, as mentioned in the post, was also fabricated.
