Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury Visits Technical Training Institute in Chattogram

Chattogram:Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury visited the Mahmudunnabi Chowdhury Technical School and College in the Pahartali area of Chattogram.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the institution is operated by the Impact Initiative and focuses on technical and skill development programs. During the visit, Mohammad Saif Ullah Mansur, CEO of the Mahmudunnabi Chowdhury Foundation, briefed the Minister on the ways trainees enhance their skills and secure employment post-training.

The school offers demand-driven courses in various fields, including computer skills, driving, electrical installation and maintenance, tailoring and dressmaking, sewing machine operation, refrigeration and air conditioning, and plumbing. These programs aim to generate employment for unemployed youth and build a skilled workforce for local and international labor markets.

Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury expressed satisfaction with the training activities and the institution's success in job creation through skill development. The visit was also attended by Md. Abdur Rahman Tarafder, Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Amir Humayun Mahmud Chowdhury, Chairman of the Mahmudunnabi Chowdhury Foundation, and Mohammad Shamsul Islam, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
