Met Office Predicts Dry Weather Across Bangladesh

DHAKA: Weather conditions across Bangladesh are expected to remain dry over the next 24 hours, with slight drops in both night and day temperatures, according to a forecast issued by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) this morning.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BMD’s forecast, which began at 9 a.m. today, indicated that the dry weather would persist, accompanied by a temporary partly cloudy sky. The meteorological projection also highlighted the presence of a well-marked low-pressure area over the Southwest Bay, off the Sri Lankan coast, with its associated trough extending to the North Bay. Additionally, a ridge of sub-continental high pressure is extending up to Bihar and neighboring regions.

The forecast further noted the potential for moderate to thick fog in northern and northeastern parts of the country, while light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere from midnight until morning. The maximum temperature recorded on Wednesday was 29.5 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda in the Chat
togram district. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature recorded today was 10.2 degrees Celsius in the districts of Gopalganj and Chuadanga.

In Dhaka, the sun is expected to set at 5:13 p.m. today and rise at 6:32 a.m. tomorrow.
