Experts at a seminar today put emphasis on creating mass awareness as well as undertaking joint steps from public and private sectors to combat the threats over internet.
The said it's not possible for the government alone to achieve the target of safe cyber space and so every citizen has to contribute from own domain to secure the connectivity here.
Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) Dhaka chapter oragnized the seminar marking the Cyber Security Awareness Month-2016, a press release said.
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Chairman Shahjahan Mahmood, ISACA Dhaka chapter President AKM Nazrul Haider, Bangladesh University of Professionals(BUP) Law Department head Associate Prof Zulfiquar Ahmed, Daffodil International University(DIU) Software Engineering Department head Towhid Bhuiyan, ISACA Dhaka Chapter Secretary Omar Faruk Khandaker, Grameenphone Information Security department head Shahadat Hossain, Information Systems Cyber Awareness (ICE) Bangladesh chapter President MR Maruf Ahmed and Eastern Bank Information Security Manager Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad, among others, spoke on the occasion.
ISACA Dhaka chapter first President Ali Ashfak presided over the function.
The experts said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina declared her Vision 2021 programme in 2008 to build Bangladesh as a technology-driven nation with the 'Digital Bangladesh' concept.
They said Bangladesh achieved stunning progress in the ICT sector thanks to various steps of the present government, and many countries of the world including India are replicating Digital Bangladesh concept.
