Khulna: BNP nominated parliamentary candidate for Khulna-2 constituency, Nazrul Islam Manju, has emphasized the critical role of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) in safeguarding the nation's future, warning that the country could face dire consequences if JCD does not return to its former prominence.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Manju highlighted the importance of JCD as more than just an organization, describing it as a 'political school' for discussions on protecting the country and improving the welfare of its people. He asserted that only nationalist forces are capable of ensuring the safety and progress of Bangladesh.
Manju made these remarks during a meeting and doa mahfil organized in memory of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia by the Council of Former Leaders of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal at the Khulna Press Club auditorium. He stressed the need to strengthen JCD further to ensure the safety and peace of rural farmers, workers, and other hardworking individuals.
He also called on JCD leaders and activists to collaborate and secure victory for party candidates in all six parliamentary constituencies in Khulna. Citing the teachings of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, Manju reminded the audience of the importance of unity and resilience during crises, particularly referencing the Liberation War.
Manju encouraged JCD members to remain active on social media and to continue their work for the country, the party, and its people. The meeting was chaired by former president of the Chhatra Dal Khulna City unit, Tariqul Islam Zaher, and attended by local BNP leaders, including Bir Muktijoddha Moniruzzaman Moni, Sekendar Jafarullah Khan Sachchu, Kazi Md. Rashed, and Abdur Razzaq.
