LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain today sought vote for 'Boat', the election symbol of Awami League, in the upcoming election to build Bangladesh as a prosperous country as dreamt by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Give your (electorates) mandate to Awami League by casting your votes for 'Boat' to give another chance to premier Sheikh Hasina for making the country self-dependent and prosperous as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, he said.
The minister was addressing an election rally on Government Rajendra College ground in Faridpur town arranged by Faridpur town Awami League.
The minister said Prime Sheikh Hasina has devoted herself to development works of the country as well as to fulfillment of the unfinished tasks of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahaman. We are to strengthen her hands by giving her the mandate again in the upcoming election, he added.
Town Awami League president Khandker Nazmul Islam Levy presided over the function.
Kotwali AL president Abdur Razzak Molla, Vice president Mahatab Ali Methu, Secretary Samsul Alom, town AL Secretary Chowdhury Borkot Ibne Salam and Organizing Secretary Zafor Ikbal Harun, among others, spoke.
Around thirty leaders from BNP and Jatiya Party with thousands of workers joined the Awami League on the occasion.
