Dhaka: An inception workshop focused on developing video documentation of lessons learned and best practices was convened today at the seminar room of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) headquarters. This significant endeavor was organized by the Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Centre (CReLIC) under the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming Project (CRIMP), which is being implemented by LGED.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event featured Md Belal Hossain, the Chief Engineer of LGED, who addressed the gathering as the chief guest, with Md Azharul Islam, Additional Chief Engineer of LGED and Director of CReLIC, presiding over the proceedings. Belal Hossain highlighted that the initiative is set to establish a structured knowledge-based repository, which will serve as a replicable model for future LGED projects, transcending the mere production of videos or printed materials.
He further noted that the documentaries and factsheets produced will serve as valuable references for policymakers, development partners, local government institutions, and other relevant stakeholders. The workshop also featured a presentation by representatives from the consulting firm Aroni Advertising Ltd., detailing their approach. This presentation was delivered by Team Leader Pankaj Palit, Planning and Business Development Manager Didarul Alam, and Assistant Manager (Client Service) Nafis Mohammad.
The event was attended by Additional Chief Engineers Syeda Asma Khatun, Kazi Saiful Kabir, and Md. Wahiduzzaman, former Additional Chief Engineer Md. Ahsan Habib, and Superintending Engineers Md. Anisul Wahab Khan and Md. Akhter Hossain, alongside project directors, executive engineers, and senior assistant engineers from various projects.
