KUET and Indonesia’s PPNS Forge Academic Cooperation Through MoU

Khulna: Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) and Indonesia’s Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya (PPNS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance bilateral cooperation in education, research, and social services.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the MoU signing ceremony took place at the Vice-Chancellor’s office of KUET. Eng. Md Anisur Rahman Bhuiyan, Registrar of KUET, signed the agreement on behalf of the university, while Muhammad Anis Mustaghfirin represented PPNS, Indonesia. The event was graced by KUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md Maksud Helali, who attended as the chief guest.



The agreement includes initiatives for both institutions to work together in enhancing students’ skills aligned with advancements in science and engineering technology. The MoU outlines plans for joint research activities and the exchange of institutional experiences. Key figures such as Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Professor Dr. Mohammad Sultan Mahmud, Director of IQAC Professor Dr. Md Hasanuzzaman, and Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Dr. Mohammad Ariful Islam were present at the event.



Both parties have expressed optimism that the MoU will open new opportunities in higher education and research, further reinforcing the relationship between KUET and PPNS.
