JCD men demonstrate before BNP office

DHAKA, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) leaders and

workers today demonstrated in front of BNP's central office at Nayapaltan in

the city in protest against expulsion of their leaders from the student

front.

They demonstrated with a demand for changing the schedule for the council

of the student body to be held on July 15.

During their protest, the JCD agitators snapped the power connection to

the BNP office and obstructed all from entering the office till 1:30pm. Five

crude bombs were also exploded.

Several senior leaders of BNP, including the party's senior joint

secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, were inside the BNP office.

On Sunday, BNP announced that the council of JCD will be held on July 15.
