Dhaka: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md Golam Rasul has emerged victorious from the Jashore-4 constituency in the 13th National Parliament Election. Rasul secured a total of 1,76,912 votes, surpassing his nearest competitor, BNP candidate Motiar Rahman Farazi, who garnered 1,31,917 votes.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a referendum held alongside the election saw 2,93,099 people casting 'Yes' votes, while 1,15,032 individuals opted for 'No' votes. The announcement of these results took place at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre, situated in Nirbachan Bhaban, Agargaon in the capital city.
