Motijheel:State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Ishraque Hossain emphasized the importance of principle-based politics to ensure power does not become a tool for injustice or oppression.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Ishraque made these remarks during an event titled 'Come, Warriors of the Generation, Let Us Know Each Other,' organized by the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Muktijuddher Projonmo Dal at AGB Colony on Thursday night.
Ishraque highlighted that the Liberation War was fought against oppression and injustice, and these ideals must continue to guide politics. He noted that the people of Bangladesh have entrusted their hopes and the responsibility of state governance to his party, and it's crucial to confront both domestic and foreign conspiracies.
Furthermore, Ishraque underlined the need to rebuild the country's economy and transform Bangladesh into a developed state through dedicated and honest politics. He hoped for the development of the Muktijuddher Projonmo Dal into a respected organization and called for organizing Liberation War generation members nationwide.
He warned that any member found violating discipline or engaging in activities against the organization would face strict action following a proper investigation. Ishraque also remarked that Bangladesh's struggle for independence continues beyond the 1971 Liberation War due to its geographical position.
Referring to the 2024 mass uprising, he stated that Bangladesh had overcome fascism but must remain vigilant against ongoing conspiracies. Ishraque congratulated the newly formed Dhaka South Muktijuddher Projonmo committee, promising full support and urging them to organize effectively at the grassroots level.
The event saw the attendance of Jatiyatabadi Muktijoddha Dal President Ishtiaq Aziz Ulfat and other leaders from various organizational levels.
