Dhaka: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today emphasized that the diligent execution of the July National Charter is pivotal in liberating the nation from its historical encumbrances and steering it towards progress. ‘This is a matter of great historical change. What the Commission will hand over to us today is the framework for that implementation process. If we can properly follow the process of implementation and move the work forward, Bangladesh will be freed from the burdens of its past. This Charter will guide us toward a new beginning for the nation,’ he stated.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Chief Adviser made these remarks at the outset of the recommendations handover ceremony at the State Guest House Jamuna. He highlighted the significance of the day, aligning it with a historic journey initiated by the July Declaration. Professor Yunus noted that today’s event marks a crucial step towards implementing the Charter, which followed the pivotal uprising chapter.



Professor Yunus described the day as ‘historic’ for the nation, underscoring the Commission’s proposal submission to the government as a notable occasion in Bangladesh’s history. He expressed gratitude to National Consensus Commission Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz and the Commission members for their dedication and relentless efforts in bringing this day to fruition.



He further elaborated that the day is a culmination of hard work by the Commission, where the nation will gain insight into the implementation process and engage in further discussions. Professor Yunus concluded by presenting the recommendations that outline the process for implementing the July National Charter.



The event witnessed the presence of National Consensus Commission members and other interim government advisers, marking a significant moment in the nation’s path to transformation.
