Hanging body of cop recovered from police barrack in Mymensingh

The hanging body of a policeman was recovered from Bhaluka model police station barrack in Myemensingh on Wednesday noon, police said.

Sub-Inspector Humayun Kabir, 40, was posted at the Bhaluka Model Police Station and hailed from Madhupur upazila of Tangail.

Mymensingh Range Additional Deputy Inspector General of police Abida Sultana and district Superintendent of Police Masum Ahmad Bhuiyan visited the spot.

DIG Abida Sultana said the body hanging from the ceiling fan inside his room was recovered at noon.

The body was sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The reason behind the death will be revealed after the autopsy, the DIG added.

Preliminary it was known that had been suffering from illness for a long time. He joined the workplace recently after enjoying a 15-day leave.
