DHAKA, May 28, 2017 (BSS) - The government has published a gazette detailing the duty and work of the elected chairmen, members and women members in reserved seats of the Zilla Parishad (district council).
The gazette has already been sent to the all concerned and uploaded on the website, a senior official of the Local Government Division told BSS here today.
According to the gazette, the Zila Parishad chairmen will do their regular administrative work, review progress of activities relating to realization of all taxes and tolls imposed by the district council and dispose of other matters to be presented.
The members will cooperate with the authorities concerned for maintaining law and order, take proper steps to create social movement against crimes and movement in favour other social activities.
