Four Arrested with 174 kg Ganja in Natore

Natore: Detective Branch (DB) of police in separate operations arrested four individuals with 174 kg of ganja from the Banbelgharia Paschim Bypass area of the town this morning. The individuals arrested include Md. Lalon, 25, and Md. Saberul Islam Shahid, 35, both residents of Sheikhtola Mahalla under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district, along with Abdul Wadud, 25, and Md. Foser Ali Sohel, 29, from Bhagrail village under Nachol upazila of the same district.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrest was made following intelligence information that prompted a DB police team to establish a check post at Banbelgharia Paschim Bypass at 5:30 am. During this operation, the police intercepted a truck, seizing 160 kg of ganja and arresting Lalon and Shahid.

Subsequently, another check post was set up in the same area around 6:30 am, leading to the arrest of Wadud and Sohel who were found with 14 kg of ganja on a passenger bus. Officer-in-Charge of Natore Sadar Police Station, Mahbur Rahman, confirmed that two separate cases have been filed with Natore Sadar Police Station in connection with these incidents.
