Rajshahi: Women who have built strong positions for themselves through unwavering courage and professional excellence despite facing social adversity, discrimination, and various challenges are recognised as “Adommya Nari” (Indomitable Women). To acknowledge women’s progress and capabilities, the “Indomitable Women” award programme has been launched for the first time in the Rajshahi Division this year, among the country’s eight divisions. Concerned officials believe this initiative will further accelerate women’s development and set positive examples in society.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a reception ceremony was held today at the District Shilpakala Academy auditorium, where 40 women were honored as “Indomitable Women” across five categories. From a total of 40 participants at the divisional level, 10 were shortlisted in the final round. From them, five were declared the best “Indomitable Women” of the division. The awards were given to the successful women in five respective categories like economics, education and employment, successful mother, prevention of repression, and social development sectors.
