Fire Service Driver Dies in Fire Extinguisher Blast in Pabna.

Pabna: A fire service and civil defense station driver died and another was injured in a fire extinguisher explosion near Kashinathpur Bazar in Santhia upazila of the district on Tuesday night. The deceased was Abdur Razzak, 35, a driver of Kashinathpur Fire Service Station and son of Salam Molla, a resident of Baghabari Shela Chapri village under Shahjadpur upazila in Sirajganj district. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Kashinathpur Fire Service Station Leader In-Charge Ahsan Ali stated that the incident occurred around 8:30 pm when Razzak attempted to refill a fire extinguisher from a shop near Kashinathpur Bazar. During the refilling process, one of the extinguishers exploded due to excessive pressure, leaving Razzak and another individual critically injured. Fire service personnel promptly arrived at the scene and transported the victims to Pabna General Hospital. However, the on-duty doctor declared driver Razzak dead upon arrival. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Santhia Police Station Md Saidur Rah man confirmed the incident and mentioned that legal action is currently underway.
