Khulna: The government has distributed Tk 72 lakh among the families of government employees who passed away while in service or retired due to disability. Nine families received Tk 8 lakh each under this assistance program.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Khulna Divisional Commissioner Md Firoz Sarkar handed over the cheques at a ceremony held at the divisional commissioner’s conference hall on Saturday. The event underscored the government’s commitment to supporting families of employees through its donation distribution policy.
The ceremony was presided over by Additional Divisional Commissioner Md Hussain Shawkat and was attended by government officials and employees. The initiative aims to provide some financial relief to the families affected by the loss of their loved ones who served in government positions.
