Dhaka: The government has appointed additional secretary of the economic relations division (ERD), Mohammad Hasan Arif, to the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) as vice chairman. The announcement comes as part of a series of administrative changes aimed at bolstering various governmental departments.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the public administration ministry issued a gazette notification regarding this appointment, which was signed by joint secretary Abul Haiyat Md Rafiq. The notification highlights the government’s decision to implement this change with immediate effect.
In addition to the appointment at EPB, another notification announced the transfer of Faruque Ahmed, the additional secretary of the housing and public works ministry, to the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection as the director general. This change, like the appointment of the new vice chairman at EPB, is also effective immediately and has been made in the interest of public service.
