DHAKA, May 23, 2017 (BSS) - Rural Development and Cooperatives Division (RDCD) and Local Government Division (LGD) yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to set up permanent office of Ektee Bari Ektee Khamar Project in each upazila.
RDCD Acting Secretary Mafruha Sultana and LGD Secretary Abdul Malek inked the MoU on behalf of their respective sides at RDCD conference room.
LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain witnessed the signing ceremony as the chief guest.
He said the project has got institutional shape through obtaining permanent office at every upazila.
The minister hoped the project will help achieve poverty alleviation target taken by the incumbent government.
"Ektee Bari Ektee Khamar Project is working to change the fortune of poor people at 490 upazila of the country," he added.
State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Md. Mashiur Rahman Ranga joined the function as special guest.
