Dhaka: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has transferred a joint police commissioner and 13 deputy police commissioners aimed at maintaining law and order in the capital. DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali issued the transfer order here today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the order specifies that joint commissioner (current charge) ASM Shamsur Rahman Bhuiyan has been transferred to the estate development and ICT division, maintaining his current position.
The transfer order further details the reassignment of several deputy commissioners (DCs). Md Ziauddin Ahmed has been reassigned to the detective branch of Tejgaon division. Md Tariqul Islam was moved to the Gulshan traffic division, while Md Aslam Uddin is now with the welfare and forces division. Khaleda Begum has been moved to the ICT division, and Syed Mohammad Farhad to the diplomatic security division.
Mst Liza Begum has been reassigned to the Traffic, Administration, and planning and research division. Mohammad Mahmudul Kabir will now serve in the public order management, south division. Abdullah Al Mamun has been transferred to the city cyber crime investigation division, and Mohammad Mizanur Rahman is now part of the city administration and logistic division.
Further transfers include Mohammad Noor-e-Alam to the city research and development division, Md Abu Saim to the ration and clothing division, Md Ilias Kabir to the counter terrorism investigation division, and Mohammad Rakib Khan to the city intelligence analysis division.
The order emphasized that these changes, made in the public interest, are effective immediately.
