Dhaka: Land Adviser Ali Imam Majumder emphasized the need for designated officials involved in land services to prioritize the well-being of the people. Highlighting the significance of land administration in Bangladesh, Majumder underscored that every inch of land is a state asset, with Assistant Commissioners (Land) entrusted with its proper management during a recent meeting.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the ‘Commissioner Coordination Meeting for October 2025’ was convened in the ministry’s meeting room, chaired by Senior Land Secretary ASM Saleh Ahmed. Majumder pointed out that AC Lands are tasked not only with land administration but also various administrative responsibilities, leading to increased pressure and underscoring the inadmissibility of negligence in land services.

Majumder further noted the direct impact of land issues on people’s lives, acknowledging the harassment they often face due to land-related problems. He urged officials to address these issues swiftly to alleviate public suffering. Emphasizing the centrality of land services to public welfare, Majumder asserted that prioritizing these services is both an administrative and moral obligation.

He announced the nationwide launch of namjari version 2.1 software on October 30, alongside an app for land development. To date, approximately 10,000 individuals have been trained for online land services, with plans for further training. Additionally, the ministry will honor eight individuals for their exemplary online land service delivery.

It was noted that between June 20, 2025, and October 12, 2025, a total of 14,73,730 e-namzari applications were submitted, achieving a 72 percent approval rate. The coordination meeting also saw attendance from divisional commissioners and AJM Salauddin Nagri, Chairman (Secretary) of the Land Reforms Board.
