Dengue Claims Another Life as 382 New Patients Admitted Across Country

Dhaka: One person died of dengue while 382 new dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country during the last 24 hours. With the latest fatality, the death toll from dengue this year has risen to 103. So far in 2025, a total of 24,999 people have been hospitalized with the mosquito-borne disease, said Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) here today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dhaka South City Corporation recorded the highest number of dengue patient admissions at hospitals with 81 cases. Barishal division, outside the City Corporation, reported 75 cases, while Chattogram division, also outside the City Corporation, reported 64 cases. Dhaka North City Corporation and Dhaka division, excluding the City Corporation, each reported 37 cases. Rajshahi division, outside the City Corporation, recorded 57 cases, Khulna division reported 16 cases, Mymensingh division had 7 cases, Rangpur division reported 5 cases, and Sylhet division reported 3 cases.
