Khagrachhari: Religious Affairs Adviser Dr. AFM Khalid Hossain today emphasized that communal harmony is one of the key foundations of a nation’s overall development and is essential for building a peaceful, united, and progressive society. “Communal harmony is a vital element in the development and progress of human civilization. Without it, lasting peace, brotherhood, and sustainable development cannot be ensured,” he stated while addressing a harmony meeting as the chief guest at the Khagrachhari Sadar Upazila Parishad auditorium.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Khalid stressed the importance of unity among all communities, noting that the development of a country hinges on mutual cooperation and understanding among its citizens. “People of different religions, castes, and cultures live together in our society. Without peaceful coexistence and mutual respect, a humane and developed environment cannot be established,” he added.

Dr. Khalid further elaborated that when people live together in harmony, the country becomes more united and can develop faster. The meeting was presided over by Deputy Commissioner ABM Iftekharul Islam Khandaker. Hill District Council Chairperson Shefalika Tripura, Superintendent of Police Md.
