A college student was killed as a passenger bus ran over him in Sadar upazila here today.
The deceased was identified as Sudipto Biswas, 18, hailed from Bagerhat district. He was a second year student at Haji Lalmia City University in Gopalganj.
Officer -in-Charge (OC) of Gopalganj Sadar Thana Jabed Masud said the accident occurred this noon in Mandertola area on Dhaka-Khulna Highway. Sudipto died on the spot.
The body was sent to Gopalganj General Hospital for postmortem
