Rangpur Chamber hosts Iftar party

Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) arranged a discussion on the importance of the holy month of Ramadan followed by doa mahfil and Iftar party at RCCI auditorium here this evening.

Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md. Sabirul Islam attended the function as the chief guest with RCCI President Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu in the chair.

Deputy Inspector General of Rangpur Range Police Mohd Abdul Alim Mahmud, Rangpur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Nure Alam Mina, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Chitralekha Nazneen and Superintendent of Police Md. Ferdous Ali Chowdhury, were present as guests of honor.

Joint Convener of Rangpur City Awami League and former RCCI President Md. Abul Kashem, Senior Vice-president of RCCI Md. Azizul Islam Mintu and its Vice-president Manzoor Ahmed Azad were present as special guests.

The RCCI President in his welcome speech greeted the invited guests on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and thanked them for attending the Iftar and doa mehfils.

Khatib of Rangpur Keramotia Jam-e-Mosque Alhaj Hafez Kwari Moulana Md. Bayezid Hussaine delivered the keynote speech as the main discussant narrating the importance of the holy Ramadan, Iftar and Zakat.

After the discussion, special munajats were offered seeking divine blessings for continuous peace, progress and well-being of the country and its people before the Iftar mahfil followed by offering Maghrib prayers.

High officials and executives of different government departments and NGOs, former and incumbent directors of RCCI, its former and incumbent executive committee members, general members, noted industrialists and businesspersons, leaders of different business organisations, importers, exporters, bankers, elite of the city, professionals, educationists, journalists and civil society members were present.
