Chinese Company to Invest $3.82 Million in Wig Manufacturing at Ishwardi EPZ

Dhaka: A Chinese company, Bangladesh Haijintone Hair Products Co. Ltd., is set to invest $3.82 million in the Ishwardi Export Processing Zone (EPZ) to establish a wig manufacturing industry.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) signed an agreement with the company at the BEPZA Complex in the capital. The signing ceremony was witnessed by BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman. Member (Engineering and Investment Promotion-Additional Charge) Md. Imtiaz Hossain and Chairman of Bangladesh Haijintone Hair Products Co. Ltd. Gao Tuanxu formalized the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.



The Chinese company plans to produce 6.98 million pieces of hair wigs and related products annually, which will create employment opportunities for 1,474 Bangladeshi nationals. This initiative marks the establishment of the fourth factory in Ishwardi EPZ dedicated to producing wigs and hair-related items, joining three other factories already operational in the zone.



BEPZA Executive Chairman expressed gratitude to Bangladesh Haijintone Hair Products for selecting Ishwardi EPZ as their investment location. He emphasized BEPZA’s dedication to providing a secure and supportive environment for investors and encouraged the company and other Chinese investors to consider further investments in different sectors.



The signing ceremony was attended by senior BEPZA officials, including Member (Finance) A N M Foyzul Haque, Executive Director (Investment Promotion) Md. Tanvir Hossain, Executive Director (Enterprise Services) Md. Khorshid Alam, Executive Director (Admin) Md. Tazim-Ur-Rahman, Executive Director (Public Relations) A.S.M Anwar Parvez, and representatives from Bangladesh Haijintone Hair Products.
