DMP Files 1735 Cases for Violating Traffic Rules

Dhaka: Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1735 cases in three days across the capital for violating traffic rules. This information was confirmed in a press release issued here today signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the DMP Traffic Division has filed these cases and imposed fines over the last day from February 23 during a regular drive against traffic rules violators. The enforcement action led to the impounding of 204 vehicles and towing of 55 others.



The DMP information further stated that the drive will persist to bring discipline to Dhaka’s streets.
