Dhaka: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today issued a stern warning, stating that no one involved in the recent attack on Sharif Osman Hadi, a frontline fighter of the July uprising and spokesperson of the Inqilab Mancha, will be spared.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the government is treating the incident with utmost seriousness, and those involved have already been initially identified. Professor Yunus assured the nation that all individuals involved in the conspiracy will face consequences, regardless of their location.
The Chief Adviser made these remarks during a national address on the occasion of Victory Day 2025. He expressed deep sorrow over the situation, emphasizing that the attack on Hadi is not merely an assault on an individual but an attack on the very existence of Bangladesh and its democratic path.
Professor Yunus informed that Hadi remains in critical condition, and the government has ensured that all necessary measures are in place for his treatment and security. Hadi has been transported to Singapore for advanced medical care, and the Chief Adviser urged the public to pray for his recovery.
Addressing the attempts of what he termed as defeated fascist terrorists, Professor Yunus declared that such ill attempts will be completely thwarted. He affirmed that no force can halt the democratic progress of the country through intimidation, terrorism, or bloodshed.
He called on the public to maintain restraint and disregard propaganda or rumors, urging unity against those who seek to create unrest. Professor Yunus firmly stated that the defeated fascist forces will never return to the sacred soil of Bangladesh.
