Police today filed charge-sheet against Victor Paribahan driver Ariful Islam and helper Abul Khayer in a case lodged over the death of Northern University student Nadia Sultana on January 22.
Investigation officer and Bhatara Police Station sub-inspector Al Imam Razon filed the charge-sheet with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saiful Islam, under section 98/105 of Road Transport Act-2018.
The court after that transferred the case to initiate further proceedings.
Nadia, a first-semester student of Department of Pharmacy of Northern University, was riding on her friend's bike as pillion. The reckless bus of Victor Paribahan hit their bike near Jamuna Future Park around 12:45pm on January 22, throwing Nadia on the road and crushing her to death.
Nadia's father later filed the case with Bhatara Police Station in this connection.
