BNP Candidate Selim Reza Habib Clinches Victory in Pabna-2

Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate Selim Reza Habib has been unofficially elected from the Pabna-2 constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election. Habib secured a total of 2,15,406 votes, representing the party symbol ‘Sheaf of Paddy’.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the unofficial results place Habib’s closest rival, Md Hesab Uddin of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, significantly behind with 77,242 votes.



The announcement of the results was made during a formal briefing at the Referendum and Thirteenth National Parliamentary Election 2026 Results Collection and Presentation Center. This event took place at the Election Commission’s Agargaon Election Building in the capital.
