Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate Mohammad Abu Sufian has been unofficially elected from the Chattogram-9 constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, securing 1,09,388 votes. His closest rival, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Dr. AKM Fazlul Haque, received 53,807 votes.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the results were announced at the Referendum and 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Election 2026 Results Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital’s Agargaon area today. This announcement marks a significant development in the political landscape of the Chattogram-9 constituency.
