Bangladesh police official gets appointment in UN mission

A Bangladesh police official has qualified himself for a professional level position in the peace mission of the United Nations (UN) in Darfur, Western Sudan.

Mohammad Jalal Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury, who served as Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) and used to look after media and public relations affairs, has joined his duty as 'planning officer' in Darfur mission recently, said a police headquarters press release here today.

Jalal Uddin is a cadre officer of the 20th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS). Earlier, he also served UN peace mission in other capacities, said the release.
