Sylhet: Bangladesh will take on the Netherlands in the third and final T20 match today at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The match starts at 6 PM with live coverage on T Sports and Nagorik TV.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bangladesh is on the brink of a series sweep after securing comfortable victories in the first two matches. The hosts triumphed over the Dutch side by eight wickets in the first match and achieved a nine-wicket victory in the second, securing an unassailable 2-0 lead. This series victory marks their third consecutive win in this format, following previous successes against Sri Lanka and Pakistan, both by a 2-1 margin.

Notably, this series marks Bangladesh’s first-ever bilateral series win against the Netherlands. It is only the second bilateral T20 series between the two teams, with the Netherlands hosting the first series in 2012, which ended in a 1-1 draw. The Dutch side’s victory in that series remains their only win against Bangladesh in this format out of seven encounters to date.

Bangladesh captain Liton Das expressed his desire to win every series, acknowledging the exceptional performance of his team members, particularly the bowlers. “We’ve been having a camp in Sylhet for the last two weeks, and they’ve put in extra effort in practice,” Das remarked, emphasizing the significance of the series victory as they prepare for the upcoming Asia Cup.

Liton also suggested potential changes in the lineup for the third match, aiming to provide all players with international match experience before the Asia Cup. Meanwhile, the Netherlands will be seeking a consolation victory after losing the series without much resistance.

The Bangladesh squad for the match includes Liton Das (Captain), Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Parvez Hossain Emon, and others. The Netherlands squad features Scott Edwards (Captain), Noah Croes, Max O’Dowd, and several key players aiming to make an impact in the final match.
