Rajgir: Bangladesh is gearing up to face Kazakhstan in the fifth-eighth place semi-finals of the Hero Men’s Asia Cup Hockey. The match is scheduled to take place tomorrow at the Bihar Sports University Hockey Stadium in Rajgir, India, with a kickoff time of 3 pm Bangladesh local time.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bangladesh was eliminated from the tournament race after securing the third position in Group B with three points. In their group matches, Bangladesh faced a 4-1 defeat against Malaysia in the opening game. However, they managed to secure a commanding 8-3 victory over Chinese Taipei in their second match. The team concluded their group stage matches with a 5-1 loss to five-time champions South Korea.
The upcoming match against Kazakhstan will determine Bangladesh’s final standing in the tournament as they compete for the fifth to eighth positions.
