Dhaka: The 30th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Coast Guard, coinciding with ‘Bangladesh Coast Guard Day-2025’, will be celebrated across the country tomorrow in a befitting manner. This significant milestone marks three decades since the establishment of the force dedicated to maintaining maritime security in Bangladesh’s territorial waters.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has extended heartfelt greetings to all members of the coast guard on this momentous occasion. In his message, he emphasized the critical role the coast guard plays in safeguarding the blue economy and ensuring the security of Bangladesh’s sovereign territorial waters. Professor Yunus highlighted that the Bangladesh Coast Guard was founded in 1994 under the motto ‘Guardian at Sea’.
The Chief Adviser expressed hope that every member of the Bangladesh Coast Guard would continue to perform their duties with the same spirit of courageous sacrifice, patience, and unity that characterized the great Liberation War and the Student-People Mass Uprising of 2024.
