Families of July Uprising Martyrs and Injured Receive Over Tk 13 Lakh Aid in Tangail

Dhaka: The families of July-August martyrs and injured ones have received over Taka 13 lakh as financial assistance in the district on the occasion of Youth Festival-2025. A total of Tk 13.55 lakh was distributed among nine families of martyrs and 217 injured youths at a cheque distribution ceremony organized by Tangail District Administration and District Council at District Shilpakala Academy.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, each martyr’s family received Tk 30,000, while each injured youth was provided with Tk 5,000. The ceremony witnessed the presence of prominent officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Abdullah Al Mamun, Chief Executive Officer of the District Council Shafiqul Islam, and District Civil Surgeon Dr Minhaj Uddin Mia.



Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, Abdullah Al Mamun emphasized the valor and sacrifices made by the martyrs and the injured youths during the July-August uprising. He stated, “The contributions and sacrifices made by the martyrs and the youths who were injured in the July-August uprising have been highlighted in the cheque distribution programme. Their courage will never be forgotten, and we, as a nation, will continue to honor their sacrifices.”



The district administration and council reiterated their commitment to supporting the families of the martyrs and the injured, aiming to ensure that their sacrifices serve as an inspiration for the next generation.
