Dhaka: The holy Shab-e-Barat, the night of fortune, will be observed throughout the country tomorrow with due religious fervour and devotion. On this occasion, Islamic Foundation (IF) has outlined programmes at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, an IF press release stated.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the IF will conduct religious sermons (waz), doa-mahfils, special prayers, recitation from the Holy Quran, and Hamd-Naat at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque tomorrow evening. Religious Affairs Adviser Dr. AFM Khalid Hossain will deliver an Islamic sermon at the mosque around 6.35 pm, emphasizing the significance of Shab-e-Barat.
Additionally, religious sermons related to Shab-e-Barat will be delivered at various mosques after Maghrib prayers, along with special munajat after Esha prayers throughout the country. Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus issued a message today, extending greetings to all Muslims in the country and around the world on the occasion of holy Shab-e-Barat.
On this day, numerous devotees visit nearby graveyards to offer special doa and munajat seeking eternal peace for the departed souls of their loved ones. Furthermore, people distribute money, food, and sweets among the poor and destitute.
