Bangladesh and Ethiopia Explore MoU to Boost Aviation Operations.

Dhaka: Bangladesh and Ethiopia engaged in discussions today regarding the potential signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) designed to facilitate regular training programs, audits, and inspections to enhance operational standards in the aviation sectors. The discussions unfolded during a meeting between the visiting Director General of the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority, Gatachew Mengistie Alemayehu, and the Chairman of the Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority (CAAB), Air Vice Marshal Md Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan, at the CAAB headquarters.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the courtesy meeting aimed at amplifying collaboration and exploring new developmental opportunities within the civil aviation sectors of both nations. A press release underscored the mutual interest of the officials in implementing effective measures to advance civil aviation and its related sectors.

Key focal areas highlighted during the discussions included the exchange of skilled auditors, the expansion of flight frequen
cies, and the pursuit of academic partnerships. Both sides expressed optimism that the meeting would strengthen the aviation relationship between Bangladesh and Ethiopia, paving the way for increased cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Solomon Bekele, Regional Director of Ethiopian Airlines; Yohannes Bekele, Area Manager of Ethiopian Airlines; Shohag Hossain, Managing Director of Rhythm Group; along with other officials from both the Ethiopian and Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authorities.
