Rangpur: Officials and stakeholders at a meeting stressed adequate publicity for the successful implementation of Bangladesh Television's 'Natun Kuri (New Bud)-2025' competition. The Rangpur District Administration organised the meeting at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner this afternoon. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Rabiul Faisal presided over the meeting, moderated by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md Ramiz Alam.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, government officials, primary school headmasters, cultural figures, and journalists were present at the event. Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted 'Natun Kuri' as a platform to discover the talents of children and adolescents on a national scale. To achieve this, extensive publicity is crucial to bringing talented artists from remote areas to the forefront.
The Deputy Commissioner announced that the Rangpur District Administration plans to implement a publicity campaign through Facebook pages and by setting up billboards in various locations. He stressed the need to increase awareness about 'Natun Kuri' through all upazilas, involving primary education officers and head teachers of primary schools. He also assured that participants' proposals would be forwarded to the Bangladesh Television Authority and urged all concerned parties to support the creative development of children through 'Natun Kuri'.
The meeting further detailed that the regional selection for Bangladesh Television's 'Natun Kuri-2025' competition in the Rangpur division will take place from September 11 to September 18, 2025. Applicants from Rangpur, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, and Gaibandha districts, included in the Rangpur-1 region, will participate in the selection phase at the Rangpur Shilpakala Academy auditorium. Competitors from Dinajpur, Thakurgaon, and Panchagarh districts, part of the Rangpur-2 region, will compete at the Dinajpur Shilpakala Academy auditorium.
All contestants who receive 'Yes' cards in the regional selection will advance to the divisional selection phase at the Divisional Shilpakala Academy, scheduled from September 23 to 28. The application process for the competition will remain open until September 5. Application forms are available on the BTV website.
