Natore:The Department of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) has fined a grocery shop owner Taka 20,000 for selling harmful chemicals and unauthorized counterfeit Ayurvedic syrup in Lalpur upazila of the district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the fine was imposed during a drive in the Uttar Lalpur area, led by DNCRP Assistant Director Md. Nazmul Hasan, on Khorshed Alam, owner of Khorshed Store.
The seized harmful chemicals and counterfeit products were subsequently destroyed, and the fine was collected on the spot. Members of law enforcement agencies assisted in the operation.
