Dhaka:State Minister for Primary and Mass Education and Dhaka-13 MP Bobby Hajjaj has urged garment factory owners and the administration to collaborate in reinforcing security within industrial areas.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Hajjaj made this appeal during a view-exchange meeting organized by the Garment Owners Group at a hotel in Dhanmondi on Saturday. The meeting highlighted security concerns at garment factories in the Mohammadpur and Adabor areas under Dhaka-13, focusing on safe commuting for workers, prevention of extortion and snatching, and addressing factory-related criminal activities.

The state minister emphasized that garment factory owners, police administration, and his office can work together to bolster security measures. Proposed initiatives include deploying four patrol vehicles, increasing police patrols in vulnerable areas, and expanding CCTV surveillance at factory entrances and other critical locations to ensure comprehensive security.

Additionally, the meeting stressed the importance of identifying security risks at factories, ensuring worker safety, and resolving issues promptly through regular communication and coordination with relevant authorities. Industry owners' concerns and proposals were attentively considered, and participants committed to fostering a secure working environment through mutual cooperation among stakeholders.
