Accra:President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed profound shock and sorrow over the passing of veteran politician and freedom fighter Abdul Hai.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the President, in a condolence message, described Abdul Hai as a valiant freedom fighter and an experienced politician. He emphasized that Abdul Hai's contributions to the country's welfare, the struggle for democracy, and the socio-economic development of Munshiganj will be remembered with deep respect.
The President also prayed for the eternal peace of Abdul Hai's soul and extended heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family members, colleagues, and well-wishers. Abdul Hai had previously served as a deputy minister and adviser to former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.
