Baku:The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) has put forward a recommendation to approve a proposal for acquiring nine LNG cargoes from Trafigura Pte Ltd. This procurement is planned to take place between December 2026 and December 2027 under a government-to-government arrangement.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the recommendation came during the 49th meeting of the CCGP this year, which was conducted virtually and chaired by Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury.

The proposal, submitted by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, allows for flexibility between the parties to agree on a different number of cargoes if necessary. The proposed pricing formula for the LNG stands at JKM-US$0.10 per million British thermal units (MMBtu). The committee has now recommended this proposal for approval.
