Khulna:A joint team from the Special Response Battalion (SRB-6) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB-21) seized 6.60 kg of crystal meth at Zero Point Bus Stand in the Harintana Police Station area of Khulna on Tuesday evening. The drugs, valued at approximately Tk 33 crore, were discovered on a bus traveling from Satkhira to Khulna.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, SRB-6 Commander Nistar Ahmed stated that the operation was conducted following a tip-off. The joint team from SRB-6's Special Company and BGB-21 Battalion found the drugs, locally known as 'ice', abandoned inside the vehicle.
The confiscated drugs were seized in accordance with legal procedures, with witnesses present. They are set to be handed over to Harintana Police Station under a general diary entry for further legal action. The commander noted that SRB forces are maintaining regular anti-narcotics operations as part of their zero-tolerance policy against drugs.
