All Farmers to Join Farmers Card Program, Says Fisheries State Minister

Khulna:All farmers in the country will be included in the farmers card program, as announced by Fisheries and Livestock State Minister Sultan Salauddin Tuku on Thursday.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the state minister emphasized the government's goal of increasing productivity through the modernization of poultry and livestock farms. Plans are underway to enhance the capacity of duck breeding farms.

The announcement was made during a briefing with journalists following the state minister's visit to the Daulatpur Regional Duck Breeding Farm in Khulna. He highlighted that expanding farms at the grassroots level would generate employment and contribute to economic self-reliance.

The state minister noted that transforming young people into agriculture and farm-based entrepreneurs could help reduce unemployment and bolster food security. He encouraged relevant authorities to support young entrepreneurs in entering the farming sector.

The event was attended by Bangladesh National Parliament Whip Rakibul Islam, Deputy Commissioner Hoore Jannat, Regional Duck Breeding Farm Deputy Director Md Rafiqul Islam, and other officials from the concerned departments.
