Gazipur:District and police administrations have implemented coordinated measures to ensure a peaceful and festive atmosphere for the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations, aiming to prevent any untoward incidents.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a special preparatory meeting took place at the Bhawal Auditorium of the Deputy Commissioner's Office. The meeting focused on strengthening law and order and ensuring round-the-clock security at the puja mandaps throughout the district.
Deputy Commissioner Md Nurul Karim Bhuiyan chaired the meeting, where the overall security strategy and field-level preparations were reviewed. Police Superintendent Mohammad Jasim Uddin, along with officers-in-charge from various police stations within the district and metropolitan areas, presented their security plans for the festival.
Senior representatives from the puja celebration committees discussed local-level challenges, requirements, and potential risks. In response, they assured law enforcement agencies of their full cooperation in maintaining law and order during the celebrations.
The meeting was attended by other officials from the district and police administrations, representatives of puja celebration councils, and journalists from different media outlets.
