Kalabagan:Road Transport and Bridges, Shipping and Railways Minister Shaikh Rabiul Islam highlighted the importance of a modern, safe, and pleasant learning environment for fostering intellectual and mental development among students and ensuring quality education.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister made these remarks during the inauguration of the newly constructed main gate of Lake Circus Girls' High School in Kalabagan, where he also attended the school's annual prize-giving ceremony as the chief guest. He emphasized that students should be nurtured beyond textbook education with values such as morality, patriotism, discipline, and human values.
The minister underscored the need for educational institutions to focus on both infrastructural development and quality education to ensure the overall development of students. He highlighted that success is attainable through a combination of sincere efforts by teachers, cooperation from parents, and students' regular hard work.
Minister Rabiul also stated the necessity for students to develop a sense of responsibility toward their country and its people, as they will be future leaders. He advocated for equipping students with modern knowledge and skills to meet the challenges of the information technology era.
Prizes were distributed to students who achieved outstanding results in annual examinations and excelled in various fields. The event was attended by teachers, students, guardians, and other stakeholders of the school, with speakers discussing the school's educational activities, infrastructural development, and student achievements. The program also included cultural performances by students and other activities.
