On June 30, 2026, ICT-2 convicted and sentenced Inu, the former Information Minister, to 10 years of imprisonment. The conviction was for crimes against humanity committed during the July-August 2024 Mass Uprising, which included the killings of six people in Kushtia.

The tribunal imposed multiple sentences on Inu: 10 years' rigorous imprisonment under charge No. 3, 10 years' imprisonment and a fine of Taka one lakh under charge No. 6, and another 10 years' imprisonment and a fine of Taka one lakh under charge No. 7. These fines are to be paid as compensation to the victims. However, the sentences are to run concurrently, resulting in a total of 10 years in prison.
