Worker Electrocuted to Death at Plastic Factory in Chawkbazar

Chawkbazar:A worker tragically died after being electrocuted while on duty at a plastic factory in the Chawkbazar area of the capital on Sunday evening.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the deceased has been identified as Kaiyum, 17, son of Md Khokon Mia from Dattagram under Ishwarganj upazila in Mymensingh. The incident took place in the evening as Kaiyum was performing his duties at the factory.

A colleague, Abdul Kaiyum, stated that the worker was accidentally electrocuted and lost consciousness. He was promptly rescued and transported to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the attending physician.

Further information revealed that the deceased resided at the plastic factory in Chawkbazar. Md Habibur Rahman, the in-charge (inspector) of the DMCH Police Camp, confirmed that the body is currently kept at the emergency department morgue of DMCH.

The case has been reported to the relevant police station, and legal proceedings are currently in progress.
